About CocoLore
CocoLore is a personal project about Format Coconut, the multiplayer singleton beta format for Disney Lorcana. It's one person, me, writing up what I figure out.
It started as a deckbuilding habit, not a site. I picked up the beta, wanted a decent list for a coconut, went looking, and found scattered discussion but nothing that pulled it together. So I built one myself. Then another. Somewhere around the tenth I had a spreadsheet of the card pool, a rubric I kept arguing with, and a folder of notes that were more useful than anything I'd been able to find. Publishing them was easier than explaining them one at a time.
So that's what this is: 18 decks, one per coconut, plus the reasoning that produced them. Not a definitive resource. Just the one that didn't exist yet.
How it works
- Everything is dated. The beta changes almost weekly, so a verdict without a date is useless.
- Method over authority. I show the cards, the counts and the math. Check my work.
- Corrections welcome. If you've played a coconut more than I have, you've almost certainly seen something I haven't. Tell me and I'll update the page.
- I'll say when I don't know. Plenty of this is still guesswork, and I'd rather flag it than dress it up.
The boring but necessary part
CocoLore is an independent fan project. Not affiliated with Ravensburger or Disney, not speaking for anyone but me, and not making any claim to be the last word on a format that's a few weeks old.
I build this site with AI assistance: it helps me draft prose, count the card pool and run simulations. The questions, the judgment calls and the mistakes are mine. Every number here can be checked against the pool, which is the point. Check my work.
